Shallow water flows

Saint-Venant / Bi-fluid coupling

Strong bidirectional coupling between a Shallow water model and a low Mach Air-Water flow model. Simulation of the Synolakis 1987 test case. Computation by Kevin Pons with the BBAMR code.

Lynett test case by discontinuous finite elements

Experimental/numerical confrontation with the Lynett test case. Computation by Camille Poussel with the RIVAGE discontinuous finite element code. The mesh refinement is driven by a criterion on the water height gradient.

Lynett test case by finite volumes

Experimental/numerical confrontation with the Lynett test case. Computation by Kevin Pons with the BBAMR finite volume code. The mesh refinement is driven by a criterion on the numerical entropy production.

Monai Valley Tsunami

Simulation of the tsunami on the Monai Valley beach of the Hokkaido-Nansei-Oki island in Japan in 1993. Computation by Kevin Pons with the BBAMR code.
